It's a bit cumbersome but until Empyrion allows for deployable ship parts it's what we have. the easiest way is to create a signal switch in the control panel. In most cases this will require you to unscrew the whole side of the gun. I adjusted my motion sensor to include only the teleporter in the red area. I personally use a switch. They are either constantly sending the "on" signal, even if I´m not around. The XOR gate generates a signal, just as if it were a light switch, but based on the truth table of its inputs.
